Now hiring: Food and Beverage Director

jobs

Hama Hama is looking for a Food and Beverage Director to join our Lilliwaup-based operations team.

We need someone to help ensure that people who come to Hama Hama have a fantastic tide-to-table experience. Ideal candidates will be great with food, people, and numbers; love working in a job where they can have a net positive impact on people and the environment; and be able to navigate the dynamics of a closely held family business with poise and humor.

The Food & Beverage Director adds value to the ingredients we grow, forage, and source locally; prepares meals to serve through our brick and mortar operations; maintains Hama Hama brand standards;  and consults on new business development. This is a high level position, with responsibility for staff, budget, sanitation, food safety, and regulatory compliance. However, the person in this role also is expected to do what it takes to keep our small business humming, whether that’s sweeping the floors, moving picnic tables around, or spending a saturday afternoon cooking on the line in the Oyster Saloon. This position also requires navigating competing and sometimes conflicting opinions about the best way forward for our food and beverage program with good humor, patience, and as little ego as possible. Excellent communication, cooperation and collaboration skills are key to the success of this role, as is adopting and working within the core values of the company.
