Join Rowan Jacobsen, our favorite James Beard winning oyster author, for an hour of oyster geekery featuring special guests from Hog Island and Island Creek Oyster Companies. Explore American molluscan terroir, sharpen your shucking skills, and enjoy lovely wines from Hayfork Wine Company.
This is a hands-on shucking experience, so prepare to roll up your sleeves. The class is in session from 12:30 to ~1:30, leaving plenty of time in the afternoon for beach explorations AND for you to rock your newfound expertise at the Mystery Oyster taste competition. For smooth sailing, plan on arriving right when the event starts at noon so you have time to get settled in before the tasting.
