Join us (and special guest Julie Qiu!) on Saturday, October 8th for an afternoon with Rowan Jacobsen. We'll celebrate the return of oyster season AND the release of The Essential Oyster, Rowan's latest addition to the modern oyster canon.
The class will feature hands-on shucking lessons, a comparative oyster tasting, wine pairings, and plenty of oyster geekery. (It's difficult to explain how excited we are to have Julie and Rowan in the same room with a new book and a bunch of delicious oysters from around the country, but trust us, oyster fans, this is big.)
Class entry includes oysters, wine, and snacks, plus a signed copy of The Essential Oyster and a pair of shucking gloves and an oyster knife to take home.
This class starts at 12 and should wrap up by 3 pm. Tickets are very limited, non-refundable, and only available to folks 21 and up. We'll follow up with ticketholders a week or so before the event with more information.
